Inger D. Kenobi
30-DAY CREATIVITY CHALLENGE
Led by Sarah B. Seidelmann & Inger D. Kenobi
Many of us put creativity off, but creativity is too delicious, too holy, too magnificent, and too dang YEEHAW-generating to be put on hold.
To quote Elizabeth Gilbert, "A creative life is an AMPLIFIED LIFE. It's a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life."
Getting started is often the most difficult part, but once you're in the creative flow:
You discover the extreme delight of really liking what you're working on.
You also learn that not everything will turn out perfect, and that's FINE!
You become happier and more energized.
You let go of the illusion of 'finding the right time.'
You no longer dwell on, 'Why me? Who cares? What's the point?'
Instead, you sit with the question, 'Who will I become if I pursue this?'
You understand that your ideas come to you for a reason, and you grow your ability to collaborate with your muse/the divine/the Universe/magic/creative forces.

THERE IS SO MUCH GOOD NEWS HERE!
You can begin today. With ten minutes.

Sketch your coffee mug. Take an artsy photo of a grand old tree that has you fan-girling! Throw together an outfit based around a garment you’re saving for a great “occasion” and wear it. Write a Haiku. Arrange grocery store flowers in some funky containers you find at Goodwill and put them in your space (or deliver one to a friend!).

A few years ago, Sarah chose to create images of funny Self-help book titles- oh man that was FUN!

And of course, everything is better when you do it IN GOOD COMPANY, sooooooooo . . .

We're THRILLED to invite you to this 30-day creative group experience! The permutations will be GOBSMACKING.
This is BEAM in a nutshell
You choose a creative project | You work on it for 30 days, 15 minutes a day
You take a daily photo of your work and post it in our private FB group.
No feedback will be given (only your own!) from us or any of the other participants (phew!).
But we'll 'love' your posts and energetically cheer you on.

Creative expression, support, and, the joyful discovery, 'I DO have a voice!', all rolled into one.
Investment: 50 dollars

DATES
Our Choose Your Project LIVE call will happen on January 7th, 2025 at noon Central Time.
The challenge itself will start on January 28th and run until February 26th.

You will grow. 99% guaranteed.
Maybe you saw Sarah’s 100-day Creative Soul Retrieval and it felt a little too long or intimidating.
Or maybe you dream of 'someday' going to a painting workshop.
Or maybe you think creativity is a bit self-indulgent, but you could possibly do something once the kids graduate.
Or maybe you would LOVE to spend a long weekend filled with notebooks, writing, and coffee, . . . . . . once everything else in your life is sorted.
This kind of thinking is super normal. But like one of the previous participants said:
I'm noticing that every day SOMETHING is bubbling up which is building my confidence as a content creator. Loving it!
You deserve to experience this flow now.
This discovery.
This joy (and sometimes frustration of course!).
WARNING: This process will also bring up your sh*t and it will also show you your LIGHT.
And we all benefit and delight when just one person decides to let IT (whatever sleeping giant of awesomeness and creation is within them) OUT.
This 30-day journey will be a great way to discover the life-giving properties of a creative project for you!
(You love the idea of this challenge, but not sure what to pick? Click here to find a list of fun ideas.)
It doesn’t matter how you express your creativity, it’s just that you do it!

One of Inger's most recent projects was painting flowers on her kitchen wall. Every day after work, she climbed up on a ladder and painted for 15-30 minutes, and it was SO MUCH FUN.

Through this tiny, daily practice, Inger reports:
-
Doing a tiny creative act in the afternoons was SO uplifting. I felt like a female Michelangelo.
-
I care less about the result and more about stepping into the creative flow.
-
Every time I show up, even if it's just for 15 minutes, I grow my 'staying-power' muscles.
“Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”

-Kurt Vonnegut
